Dear friends and family,
Please pardon our lack of communication during the summer. It has been a very busy summer, but we have learned so much! Solid Rock Day Camp took us on again for an internship and we helped them work through a new computer program and Bruno was involved with the financial side of camp. This was great since we have not been involved with this as much in previous years.
August was wedding month for us. Only two weddings took place, but Bruno was the photographer for both!
Bruno became a citizen of the United States on July 7th!!! He went early in the morning to take his test on American history and government; when he passed, they told him he would be sworn in that afternoon!! This was quite a surprise for us since we were told it would be weeks after the test. Bruno drove back up to camp to pick up his family and we went back down to the ceremony.
On the practical side, Bruno’s citizenship means it will be easier for him to travel in and out of the country. In addition, he will not have to return to the United States every two years to fill out paper work for a green card. We are so excited!!!
Bruno spoke with Danny, the current director of the camp in Uruguay and he asked for us to keep our ears out for a couple of items. He said they could use pool side furniture, new or used, and old or new playground equipment. If you hear of any of these items, there will be a container shipped to Uruguay in the next couple months.
Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for our trip to Portugal from August 31st to September 10th for Bruno's mother's wedding! (Yes, another wedding!)
2. Pray for our visit to Capital Baptist Church in Virginia the day after we return from Portugal. We will be helping with a Uruguayan style barbecue for four or five hundred people and speaking on Sunday to close their missions conference.
3. Please keep praying for our fall schedule.
We are hoping for a much fuller schedule if we want to get to language school in January.
Praise:
Praise God for a successful summer of learning for us and helping with a great ministry!
In Him,

Bruno & Audrey Couto |
