Camp runs throughout the Uruguayan summer, January and
February, and currently there are weeks for men, women, children,
youth, and families. During the year we will seek to host schools and churches for retreats, catering to their physical, educational and
most importantly their spiritual needs. One of the programs we plan
to expand is outdoor education. |
|
The outdoor education program challenges groups to
work as a team as they find a creative solution for problem
activities. Each activity has a specific biblical application to help
connect biblical truth to their everyday life. We also feel it is
very important to directly include churches from the United States, so
we will host groups who wish to come down to do a service project for
the camp.
With all these expectations, we are keeping in mind that we do
not fully know the culture yet. During our first few years living
there and working with the local pastor whom is currently serving as
the camp director, we will learn which programs run well and which
ones need reworking.
