We had a great time at language school. I would highly recommend the school to anyone wanting to learn spanish correctly.
I would encourage you to check out the article where you will find out a little something about my childhood that might shock you. You can download the article either from Rio Grande’s website or by clicking on the cover of the magazine on the right.

Ponte Trucha Camp

Friday, April 16th, 2010

What a time! The camping class has put on a camp for the student body. We left today and will be back on campus tomorrow at 5…
It has rained all week with forecast to rain these two days as well. We had some rain while setting up the tents but then it cleared up.

BIG PRAYER REQUEST is for the speaker we had booked for the weekend. He had a stroke today. He is in the hospital and the doctors are giving him a 10% chance of survival.

RGBI offers a camping class for their Bible Institute students which I have been dying to be a part of. The only problem with the class was that it was only offered at the same time as my phonetics class, which I need. Well things have changed… Yes, I still need phonetics class but we have transitions to writing papers and presenting them in class. So when I’m not presenting I have been granted permission to skip phonetics class and attend the camping class.

One of the major benefits has been to see the camp ministry from a hispanic perspective. A lot of the things we learn in the class I have learned working at Solid Rock Day Camp the past 8 years but it is serving as a reinforcement. It has also made me consider and even evaluate some of my camp ministry philosophies.
